This session will provide you with an opportunity to explore the different models employers use when recruiting social workers, consider the different types of organisations you may wish to seek employment with and explore ways of streamlining the application process. You will be given tips on how to showcase your skills and knowledge, in an online session that will also allow you to ask specific questions related to your situation and area of interest.

Trainer Bio

Denise Monks, BASW

Denise Monks is a Professional Officer with the British Association of Social Workers, supporting the mentoring service, branches and thematic groups which include the Mental Health Group, Social Workers in Health Group and the Children and Families Group. She is a registered social worker, with over 20 years experience as a social worker, team manager, strategic manager and commissioner. She is experienced in developing and managing integrated services and commissioning preventative services. She has a background in services for people with learning disabilities, adult rehab services, mental health and preventative children and families services.
